30 to 90 Day Programs
One of the most commonly asked questions about treatment is how long does a person need to go to treatment for? The answer varies. A person who has been steadily employed has a support system at home, and had just started to abuse substances, 30 days of inpatient treatment is sufficient. However, a person who has been abusing substances for 10 years or more, has no employment, and suffers from undiagnosed or untreated mental health issues would likely need 60- 90 days of treatment. That’s why we offer long-term rehab options.
Each client has unique needs. Therefore, we customize treatment plans to meet each client’s specific needs. Our assessments are fully confidential, and our goal is to help you or your loved ones find the best treatment for your needs. Whether, you need detox-only, 30-day treatment, or a long-term 90-day program, we can accommodate your needs.
The First 30 Days
The first 30 days in treatment typically involve detox and then residential inpatient treatment. During this time, you or your loved one will be monitored 24 hours a day.
At BeWell Recovery Center, our program starts with a physician-monitored medical detox program. Our doctors will prescribe medication to make our clients as comfortable as possible. This process can take 5-10 days depending on the substance, amount, frequency, and length of time of abuse.
After detox, our licensed therapists will assess clients’ clinical needs and develop a treatment plan. Some clients may have undiagnosed, misdiagnosed or untreated mental health disorders. Many people with untreated mental health conditions may self-medicate with drugs and alcohol and have become addicted as a result. We assess and evaluate clients for mental health disorders throughout their stay in our facilities. Some clients may need psychiatric treatment and require medication.
Once clients complete the detox program, they start to participate in our residential program. They are put on a tight schedule, from the time they wake up until the time they go to bed. Our daily schedule includes group therapy, exercise, case management meetings, healthy chef prepared meals, one-on-one therapies, meditation, support groups, family therapy, written assignments, self-reflection, and some personal time.
If a client is ready to discharge at the end of 30 days, they will be given an aftercare plan. Typically, this includes appropriate local support groups, IOP program referrals, recovery plan, as well as medical and clinical professional referrals for any ongoing mental health treatment needs.
60-90 Day Long-Term Rehab Programs
For some people, 30 days of treatment is not enough. A person suffering from an untreated mental health issue, such as bipolar disorder, may need medication stabilization before starting substance abuse treatment. So, the recovery process would take longer. A person suffering from severe trauma would need more therapy before they could be discharged. A person who has been abusing substances for 10 years or more may need help to be self-supporting or self-caring. For these situations, we offer extended care options up to 90 days.
For days 31-60, we offer a PHP or partial hospitalization program. PHP is 5 day a week, 6 hour a day program. So instead of going to work during the day, clients go to our treatment center. Depending on location and client’s specific needs, clients may choose to go home at the end of the day or live in one of our sober living residences. We monitor and conduct random drug testing on all our clients during this phase of treatment. Clients continue to follow a rigorous treatment schedule during the day.
For days 61-90, we offer an IOP or Intensive Outpatient Program. Just like PHP, clients may choose to live at home or in one of our sober residences. At this point, clients typically go back to work or return to a real-world setting. By this time, we expect our clients have a strong support group and have structured and sober days of work, fun and recovery. IOP may meet 3 days a week for several hours a day. This is the final phase of our treatment process. Our long-term rehab programs treat the causes and effects of addiction.
